#sell Asus VivoBook 15 X570UD (faulty) 150€, Baoshan Core i5 8250U (4/8), 16GB DDR4 2666mhz, GeForce GTX 1050 2GB, 15.6" 1920x1080, 256GB SSD. It has a specific fault: it can suddenly freeze with a black screen, either about 5 minutes after starting or a day later, during normal use. You can run stress tests for days and it passes them, the freezes happen when the system is idle. Empirically I found that when booting Linux with the parameters nomodeset idle=poll processor.max_cstate=0 there are no freezes (Xorg cannot be started with these parameters, only tty). Previously it did not freeze with specific i915 parameters, but now it doesn't work even with those. Since the video output to the display goes through the Intel UHD, it's not possible to use the Nvidia GPU instead to output the picture. So the laptop can be used as a server without graphics, including for small LLMs, since the GTX 1050 is fully functional. Also, the space key presses unreliably because the plastic part that holds the stabilizer broke.

Имеет специфическую неисправность - внезапно может зависнуть с чёрным экраном как через 5 минут, так и через день при обычном использовании. Можно сутками крутить стресс тесты - он их пройдёт, зависания происходят когда система ненагружена. Опытным путём выявил, что при запуске в Linux с параметрами nomodeset idle=poll processor.max_cstate=0 зависаний нет (xorg с такими параметрами запустить нельзя, только tty). Раньше он не зависал с специфическими параметрами i915, но теперь даже так не работает. Поскольку видео на дисплей идёт через Intel UHD, нельзя вместо неё использовать Nvidia GPU, чтобы она выводила картинку. Поэтому ноутбук можно использовать как сервер без графики, в том числе для маленьких LLM, так как GTX 1050 полностью исправна. Также клавиша пробел нажимается нечётко так как на ней сломалась пластиковая деталь, которая держится за стабилизатор.
